Clay Creek Vineyards is part of a family owned winery which has been growing grapes since 1924. Sustainable farming practices are central to the family's firmly held belief that they are responsible for tending the earth using environmentally sensitive farming techniques.
The vineyards are predominantly located in the Lodi region of California wine country. Positioned between San Francisco Bay and the Sierra Nevada mountain range, the Lodi appellation, while relatively far inland, is able to maintain a classic Mediterranean climate featuring warm, sunny days and cool evenings.
Chardonnay lovers will adore this wine, which is new in store and fresh off the boat from California where the warm dry climate provides ideal growing conditions for grapes to develop flavours of peachy stone fruit, apricot and tropical notes. This is a big rich wine with full, broad aromas of ripe tropical fruits and stonefruits entwined with creamy barrel ferment characters combined with nutty lees and toasty oak flavours, which are harmoniously intermixed with subtle lemon-curd malolactic fermentation notes.
The palate is full and mirrors the nose in terms of flavour. Drink now or keep in the cellar for two to three years and match with pork, veal and chicken dishes.

In 1972, Ridge made its first Lytton Springs from vines that were planted on the eastern half of the vineyard at the turn of the century. Nestled alongside the Columbia River in eastern Washington, Columbia Crest winery opened its doors in the heart of the acclaimed Horse Heaven Hills in 1983.
This wine is 100% Chardonnay of which 36% of the blend was fermented in stainless steel tanks with no malolactic fermentation to showcase the bright acidity in the wine. The balance underwent weekly stirring in barrel allowing the wine to build complexity and structure.
Opens with fresh fruit aromas of baked apples and pears, joined by signature characters of cr?me brulee and caramel. Ripe orchard fruit flavors are joined by creamy, buttery notes and balanced by lively acidity.
