Sang des Cailloux Vacqueryas is a labour of love and tastes like it. It's a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourv?dre and Cinsault and named after the daughters of Serge F?rigoule: Floureto, Doucinello, and Azala?s.
All grapes are hand harvested and fermented with natural yeasts in cement cuves with daily pumpovers then moved into 450 litre barrels for 12 months' maturation before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
This is a delicious, full bodied dry red from one of the great appellations of the Southern Rhone Valley in France.
Chateau Thivin is the oldest estate on Mont Brouilly, which has remained in family hands for several generations. Grown on steep slopes, harvested manually and vinified using low intervention techniques so as to maximise terroir expression.
The Brouilly appellation is capable of producing excellent and complex wines, quite unlike the maligned Beaujolais Nouveau. Brouilly produces fruit forward, medium bodied wines, typically from the Gamay grape.
Le Sept Vignes is a blend of the seven plots of Chateau Thivin, in an effort to represent the region's terroir. This is a delicious, medium bodied red, with slight tannins and a persistent, juicy red-fruit character. Complex yet easy-drinking in it's youth. This wine will grow in elegance given a few years age.

William Fevre is one of Chablis' great wine domaines. On this wine, the palate has excellent grip and is classically bone dry with an unctuous, oily texture. The nose is layered with wet stone and chalk minerality, nuts, pale stone fruit and ripe citrus. Notes of ripe green fruit, bright citrus acidity and a lengthy finish make for an elegant, high end Chablis.
Domaine William Fevre has led the Chablis revival over the past decade with its refined, full bodied, dry white wines, all 100% Chardonnay, of course, as this appellation is devoted entirely and solely to this great white grape variety.
A refreshing dry white made from Chardonnay grown in the Maconnais region of southern Burgundy. The grapes come from the historic "Les Charmes" vineyard, known for producing wines of great elegance and finesse. Ripe stone fruit flavours are balanced by an elegant mineral finish. This is perfect as an aperitif and works well with lighter foods.
Commercial description
Terroir
Clay-limestone, very rich in iron oxide (red), on Bajocien, on the highest and stoniest part of the “Les Quarts” site. East, South-East exposure. 20% slope.
Winemaking
Manual harvest, whole bunch pressing, 100% vinified and aged in pieces (228 litre barrels) for 11 months then 6 more months in vats for natural clarification.
Walk, listen, smell. You are in the ploughed vines of Soufrandière in the Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat “Les Quarts”, in this terroir that we consider to be one of the best in Burgundy, perhaps out of inordinate love, or perhaps out of deep conviction. The bell tower, an old shelter whose roof is covered with glazed tiles, is almost its guardian. The earth is supple, airy, fragrant, licorice-like. She lives. The terroir is simply there. The almost magical exposure (on a south-eastern slope) of our oldest Chardonnay vines, aged 45 to 80 years, and the living clay-limestone soil (Bajocian rich in siliceous crystals) thus give rise to wines that will age. Lemony and mineral nose, balance, complexity and length on the palate. Vintages pass, the Terroir remains. It’s up to us to preserve it!
Pouilly-Fuisse is an appellation in the Maconnais region in Burgundy. It is known for producing refreshing and crisp Chardonnay.
Tasting note by Veronique Boss-Drouhin
'A seductive wine and a really nice expression of the Chardonnay grape! The colour is golden, with some green reflections. Among the floral and fruity aromas, almond and ripe grapes dominate. On the palate, the wine is refreshingly pleasant, ethereal in its lightness. Long and refreshing aftertaste.'
""A joint venture between Dominique Piron and 3 star Michelin Restaurant Lameloise, this always rates highly. "A sexy, highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red and dark berries, potpourri and smoky minerals, and a subtle hint of game emerges slowly. Juicy, impressively concentrated black raspberry, bitter cherry and violet pastille flavors tighten up and become spicier on the back half. " 92/100 Jancis Robinson
