Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this edition of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey is bottled at 100 proof, adhering to the rules sets as part of the Bottled in Bond Act, which was passed all the way back in 1897. The bumped-up ABV helps bring forward the bright fruit and oak spice notes. Aromas of cooked fruit dusted with cinnamon, toasted brown sugar and almond. Green apple and fried banana on the palate, paired with maple syrup and punchy black pepper. Oak and toffee stick around on the finish.
Like our founder Jack Daniel, Jimmy Bedford was both a farmer and a whiskey-maker, so he knew a thing or two about the importance of strong roots. He made his whiskey Jacks way. True to its roots and true to Jacks words. every day we make it, we?ll make it the best we can.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Quite light and smooth with a lot of sweetness. Insights of dry zest and sleek nuts, a bit of smoke.
Taste: Smooth and delicate with notes of banana milkshake, a blended nut take note of, a bit of caramel with English creme.
Finish: A little oat sweetness and toasty oak.
The Jefferson's - In 1997, when Jefferson’s was first starting out, we found a 15-year-old bourbon that we immediately knew was rich, complex and needed to be brought to market. It was in 2003 that we decided to bring in other bourbons to marry with the original Jefferson’s Reserve. Similar to Jefferson’s, we still use over 50% of that mash bill and add up to 3 more bourbons to create more flavor and complexities. Jefferson’s Reserve is a big, sophisticated bourbon that has a lot of flavor up front, a lot of weight mid palate and a deep, wonderful finish.
A smooth dry style overlaid with caramel and liquorice notes.Method of Production : Made from 80% corn, 12%rye and 8% malt, a small beer is made that distills once, giving thewhiskey weight. A doubler under the still re-distils vapour from thebeer heater giving softness to the spirit. Filtering slowly through 10feet of maple charcoal takes fusel oils from the whiskey and addssmokiness. Barrel maturation in American oak smooths the spirit, addingcaramel tones. It is the charcoal filtration method that makes thisTennessee whisky.
