Robert Weil is one of the top wine producers in the Rheingau and is famous for its sweet richly concentrated wines but this is a dry Riesling with great concentration of citrus zest, suggesting excellent longevity. This wine has ageing potential of at least 10 years.

Weingut Robert Weil estate is situated on the Taunus Ridge, an elevated site in the Rheingau, considered a great site for vines and home to 90 hectares of vineyards, all dedicated solely to Riesling. Organic fertilizer, green cover and the elimination of all herbicides is part of the philosophy here. Harvest typically starts in October and can take up to 10 weeks with selective hand picking several times.
Production includes all tiers of Riesling from light bodied dry trocken styles up to beerenauslese – selected botrytised sweet wines.
Temperature controlled ferments are used, as are both stainless steel and wood – older, larger casks – for the fuller bodied styles.
Wines are fined using natural sedimentation rather than anything added.
