Whichever of the Classic Malts you select, you taste Scotland's finest malt whisky. Your coastal Classic Malts journey begins, as you sail to Islay and the tiny bay that hides Caol Ila. Then, journey north, just as the Clyde 'puffers' used to do, to the Isle of Skye and the loch-side setting of Talisker. After which, cruise around Scotland's far north Clynelish, on the storm-lashed shores of Sutherland.
- Caol Ila 12-Year-Old - 43% Pale straw; the light, fruity nose fresh and appetizing, with a wisp of smoke, almonds, and yes, oilskins! Firm, smooth, and light-bodied. Sweet at first, then fragrantly smoky and lightly salty in a balanced taste, smoothly leading on to a lingering, sweet-smoky finish that's often likened to the dying embers of a beach bonfire. Sublime smoke.
- Talisker 10-Year-Old - 46% Brilliant gold; powerful peat-smoke on the nose, with a seawater salty-sweetness. Full-bodied. Rich, dried-fruit sweetness and clouds of smoke on the palate, with strong barley-malt flavours. Smoky-sweet and powerful, with an explosion of pepper at the back of the mouth, followed by a huge, long, warming and peppery finish. Sweet thunder.
- Clynelish 14-Year-Old - 45.8% vol Yellow gold; the sweet, light, waxy nose has a faint floral fragrance that grows to suggest scented candle wax, dried flowers on the beach, and brown sugar. Firm, light to medium-bodied. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, with maritime notes always present. Salty-dry, with an attractive, crisp sea-air finish. Deliciously drinkable.
Dom Perignon is one of the world's great prestige champagnes in name and in taste. Made only in single vintage years, this latest one is a blend of 50/50 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, aged for eight years on lees, which retains freshness while allowing the yeast autolysis process to create complexity and power in this multi layered, intensely richly flavoursome sparkling wine.
This tastes full bodied, dry, creamy with complex layers of flavour. Serve chilled in a large glass to it its complexity and freshness shine.

REID + REID NATIVE GIN 42% 700ML
The Reid brothers have backgrounds in engineering and winemaking, both of which gave their curious minds something related to work with when they began distilling gin. Reid + Reid gin has all the usual botanicals, coriander, juniper, lemons and more, but it is the addition of distinctly New Zealand botanicals that make it unique. The brothers like to think it's as much a celebration of great gin as a nod to New Zealand's fauna. In this case they've used manuka, kawakawa and horopito. It's a dry, refreshing gin, particularly suited to a long G & T, with plenty of ice and a twist of lemon.
Excellent 12 year old single malt from the Glenlivet Distillery in Speyside, which enjoys its maturation in both European and American oak casks. It's an immensely popular expression which disappeared from shelves in 2015, but has since returned! A great example of the character of Glenlivet's whisky, boasting a bounty of orchard fruit, fragrant florals and honeyed malt notes carried on a creamy mouth feel.\
Nose: Apricot, pineapple, greengages, citrus blossom and toasted teacake.
Palate: Buttery and vanilla-rich, though still packing all the bright fruit notes from the nose.
Finish: A soft crackle of oaky spice and malt, plus a hint of red apple juiciness.
The whisky that kicks off the Glenlivet range, one of the oldest and most reputable distilleries in Speyside. Named in honour of the distillery's founder, George Smith. It's classic Glenlivet, with a creamy and fruity character bolstered by the use of first-fill American oak to mature some of the whisky.
This gift box comes with two branded glasses.
