Scottish Whisky : Scotch
Casg Annamh means 'rare cask' in Gaelic. This expression is significantly influenced by the finest quality, hand-selected Oloroso Sherry casks. The liquid is matured in three types of casks; European oak Sherry casks and two different types of American oak casks resulting in a rich and intense whisky.

A 10 Year Old single malt from Aberlour distillery that spent most of its ageing in bourbon barrels and sherry casks from Jerez, before it was treated to a finish in French Limousin oak casks. It's called Forest Reserve as a nod to the commitment of the distillery to conserving the forest in the Speyside region, where the distillery resides.
Aberlour 10yo is a great entry-level malt, ideal for beginners, with a fine sherried spiciness. Pound for pound, this is one of the best that Speyside has to offer.
Adelphi's Private stock is a blend of whiskies selected by one of Scotland's most famed independent bottlers. This is a smooth dram with plenty of honeyed sweetness from Spey and Highland malts, a touch of sea-side maritime notes from a coastal distillery and a gentle peat-fire smokyness in the background. A very traditional and old-fashioned flavoured blend that belongs in any whisky drinker's cupboard."
This Aerstone 10 year old Land Cask Single Malt Whisky is produced by William Grant & Sons at the Ailsa Bay Distillery located on the Ayrshire coast of the Scottish Lowlands.
Unlike its whisky counterpart named Sea Cask, Land Cask is matured at a warehouse much further inland, and the use of Highland peat makes it a more sweet and smoky whisky.
Nose: Earthy peat smoke and vanilla pod, with a briney note, black pepper, smoked meats and burnt rubber, with just a touch of fresh fruity sweetness.
Palate: Balanced sweet and smoky notes, with aniseed, burnt brown sugar, charred oak and salted honeycomb. Then there's olive brine, barbecued citrus fruit and smoked meats.
Finish: Sweet and smoky battle it out on the finish, with vanilla fudge and peat smoke alongside dry, spicy oak.
Alc 40%
This latest release from the Knockdhu distillery has been selected from American oak and sherry casks after 18 years of maturation. This is a heavier dram, with the sherry casks bringing a dried fruit, chocolate and ripe orange flavour and aroma to the classic notes of vanilla, honey and summer fruits. The aftertaste is full of spices and is distinctily peppery and warming.
anCnoc has released its second batch of Peatheart single malt, a heavily-peated expression packing a hefty 40 PPM measurement! We've been very impressed with the peaty expressions coming from anCnoc, and Peatheart once again offers up marvellous waves of BBQ-style smoke and earthy richness, brilliantly balanced by zesty tropical fruit.
Nose: Mango and mint leaf, swiftly followed by waft after waft of roasted meat and charred oak.
Palate: The peat is a touch more subdued on the palate (though definitely still integral tot he flavour profile), making a little room for pineapple and runny caramel.
Finish: Bonfire embers and a hint of straw.
In keeping with anCnoc?s traditional style, this whisky takes its name from the peat harvesting process. The term ?r?dhan? [roo-an] refers to the final stage, in which the peat is stacked for several weeks to dry out ahead of burning to create the signature smokiness associated with the range.

Nose
A light fruitiness kicks off this elegant dram. Delicate floral notes play their part before bowing out to a burnt wood smokiness.
Taste
On the palate, it takes on a whole new character. Earthy peat smoke still prevalent, it is now accompanied by the more robust notes of spice and burnt sugar. The finish is smooth and warm.
The nose is of medium-body with notes of soft peat smoke and a rooty character. There are herbal notes with a cut hay character, there are hints of winter berries. The palate is quite well-rounded and full, there are notes of cut hay and honey, caramel and a touch of dry oak, a little fruit note develops. The finish is long and smooth.
