Shiraz
Entity is 100% Syrah, sourced from old vineyards in the Krondorf, Eden Valley Light Pass and Ebenezer regions of Barossa. This wine was made with minimal intervention to create a traditional and elegant wine which represents the Barossa Valley. This wine is approachable in its youth, but its excellent structure allows it to benefit from cellaring.
The wine itself is deep purple-red. The nose is fruity, spicy and savoury, with notes of ripe dark berries, cocoa and spicy oak. The palate is concentrated and fruity, coupled with bright acidity and a long smooth finish.
The blending of Viognier with Shiraz (aka Syrah) is a traditional French winemaking method from the Northern Rhone Valley appellation of Cote Rotie and some other areas. South Australian winemaker Johnny Quarisa takes his cue from that great wine region and blends a dash of Viognier with this Shiraz to enhance its dark fruit flavours and robust tannic style. The softness and rich fruity flavours that a little Viognier brings adds approachable drinkability to this full bodied dry red. It drinks well now and can further age for three to four years, even at this modest price.
Lovely plush Shiraz with peppery notes and bold plum flavours in a full bodied, beautiful expression of South Australia's most popular and most widely planted red grape. Dry, impressive and long on flavour. This wine will age for at least seven to eight years.

Family owned Leeuwin Estate is one of the five founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district of Western Australia.
In 1972, legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Robert Mondavi, identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard as being ideal for the production of premium wine and provided early mentorship to Denis and Tricia Horgan in the transformation of their cattle farm into Leeuwin Estate. Enjoying its first commercial vintage in 1979, Leeuwin was thrust into the international spotlight when Decanter Magazine gave its highest recommendation to the 1981 ?Art Series? Chardonnay.
This is Shiraz is part of the same art series, from Margaret River in Wetern Australia. This is classic Shiraz with an abundance of bursting blackcurrants, boysenberries and mulberries balanced by sweet, toasted spices.

This is a special wine for long term cellaring and it also makes an impressive special occasion wine. It tastes dry, smooth and full bodied with very ripe, rich flavours of concentrated blackcurrant juice and jam notes, underpinned by powerful tannins and weight. Stonewell was first made in 1987 and named after the Barossan wine district that the late Peter Lehmann held in the highest regard. The small black grapes from this area in the Barossa create the deep richness of flavour in Stonewell.
The grapes in this wine were fermented and macerated for two weeks with a portion of barrel fermentation and followed by 18 months aging in French oak hogsheads. This wine drinks well now and will age for well over a decade in well chosen cellaring conditions.
