The Islands Whisky
Talisker, one of the most remote distilleries in the world, is situated on the storm lashed Isle of Skye and has a colourful history dating back to 1830. Denounced by the local clergy, praised by none other than Robert Louis Stevenson and even suffering a still-room fire in 1960, Talisker has survived and today produces some of the smoothest and characterful malts in Scotland. The 30 Year Old is sweet and mild to begin, with some acidity and saltiness. Extraordinary flavour development then envelopes the palate that becomes dry and minerally with a mild dusting of ground white pepper.

Isle of Arran Distillers is the only whisky company to produce a Single Malt which is officially endorsed by the World Burns Federation. Partnered with the Federation since 1998, we have the authorisation to use Burns's likeness and signature on our Single Malts in recognition of being the closest Distillery to Burns's birthplace of Alloway in Ayrshire. Burns indeed would have seen Arran most days from his home village.
This light aromatic Single Malt is ideal for drinking prior to or during a meal. Very fresh with no artificial colouring, this beautifully packaged malt is made for easy drinking.
A very versatile dram, inspired by Scottish poet Robert Burns, this whisky can be enjoyed alone, with water or ice, or even in a long drink.

It's the 2007 vintage Distillers Edition from Talisker. These expressions are allowed a finishing period in casks that previously held Amoroso sherry, which plays wonderfully with the distinctive coastal salinity of Talisker's single malt. This one was bottled in 2017 at 45.8% ABV.
Nose: Toffee, seaweed, a sharp hint of fresh citrus fruit, milky coffee.
Palate: Juicy pineapple and apple, balanced by a kick of sea spray. Some light vegetal hints of fresh thyme and basil.
Finish: Lingering smoke and dried fruit.
After initially maturing in traditional oak casks over a number of years, The Arran Single Malt in this bottling was ?finished? in a selection of Amarone wine casks. The wine casks used in this bottling were sourced from an artisan producer of Amarone wine in the Veneto region of Italy.
A luxurious Italian wine meets a complex and vibrant Scottish character - there is a lot to love and appreciate about this Single Malt and you will enjoy every dram.
Nose
Cherry, turkish delight, chocolate
Palate
Poached pears, touch of cranberry and honey

Produced at the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been made by the sea since 1830.
In fact, few single malts tell the story of their origin better. Its smell and taste instantly connect the drinker with the rugged coastal environment. Every sip is a taste of the Isle of Skye itself ? a powerhouse; challenging but adored, once discovered rarely left. Like a warm welcome from a wild sea. The intense character of Talisker comes from fresh water drawn directly from underground springs next to the distillery, two very distinctive wash stills and wooden worm tub condensers which, along with its unusual ABV of 45.8%, help set Talisker apart from other malts. Talisker Storm offers the drinker Talisker?s full maritime majesty, all unfettered elemental power and confidence.
Matured in some of the finest casks available to the whisky industry, this cask strength 100% Sherry matured Single Malt is both luxurious and elegant with layers of rich sweet spice and oak. Our Master Distiller has worked with producers in some of the most prestigious Sherry Bodegas in Jerez, Spain to select only the best quality casks to be filled with our precious spirit.
This bottling is a return to the style of some of the earliest Arran Single Malt, which was mostly matured in Sherry Casks. During a tasting, this expression is the perfect partner to our Quarter Cask 'The Bothy' as it showcases the skill and expertise of our Master Distiller in his work with different wood types and supreme cask selection.
Nose - Toffee, sweet spice and fruit
Palate - Ripe fig and cherries
Finish - Dark chocolate, Mandarins, Ripe figs.
The 2022 Diageo Special & Rare collection is known as "Elusive Expressions", drawn from some of Scotland’s most interesting, legendary distilleries and curated by Master Blender Dr Craig Wilson. They portray the otherworldly beings which have fiercely protected the heartlands of remote Scottish distilleries for an eternity, according to our ancient fables. This year each bottle has its own unique QR code which, when scanned, takes you on a multi-sensory experience that tells you the story of the whisky and the mythical creature behind the artwork, whilst providing tasting notes to prompt your nose and palate along the way.
Talisker 11 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml (Special Release 2022) was matured in and blended from a mix of 1st-fill ex-bourbon casks, refill casks, and wine-seasoned casks.
The nose instantly transports you across to Skye, with the smell of bitumen on the road infusing into your nostrils, together with Talisker's signature iodine and medicinal notes. Briny maritime notes abound; there's sea spray in the air. The nose is complex, there are also hints of tobacco leaf and saddle leather. The palate is a bit softer, rounded, and grounded in the earthy peat. It possibly lacks for sweetness – the wine casks have made it a bit drier and more savoury than the sweet and punchy 8yo Taliskers that featured in the 2020 and 2021 Special Releases.

A very interesting whisky from one of Scotland?s most northerly distilleries, the Orkney-based producer, Scapa! This whisky has been matured in American oak casks, before being finished in barrels that once held smoky, peated malt whisky. This is an excellent, lightly peated dram which serves as a stepping stone to the more powerfully smoky malts of the scotch world. Glansa is a nod to the Nordic history of Orkney, with the term meaning ?shine? in Icelandic and ?gloss? in Norwegian. On the nose, this dram opens up with sweet fruity flavours of pineapple, peach, mango and overripe banana, accompanied by a gentle peat smoke. The palate returns the peach and tropical fruit notes of the nose, adding vanilla and oak flavours with the same elegant smoke. The finish is long, smoky and spiced, with plenty of lingering flavour. A lovely little dram that will appeal to fans of both gentle and powerful whiskies.
The Arran Malt finished in Sauternes casks. These casks that previously held Bordeaux sweet wine give a honeyed sweetness to the isle of Arran?s only single malt distillery.
Nose: Initially acacia honey but then opening up to apricots, bananas and pears. With time a floral elegance presents itself.
Palate: Sweet but cut with warm spice. Lemon zest announces itself with the addition of water and a slight saltiness plays with this dram's sweet character.
Finish: Seville orange, Sauternes and an ounce of honey in a crisp finish.
From the distillery...
The clue is in the name really. Cask Strength Release No. 2 is bottled straight from the cask, without adding water to reduce alcohol content, to deliver an extraordinary depth, complexity and balance of flavours.
Casks have a huge influence on the flavour, character and natural colour of our whisky as it matures, so our Cask Strength series presents our whisky in its purest form, giving you the freedom to enjoy our whisky, your way. Discover the taste and strength that suits your palate by experimenting with the amount of water you add to reach your optimum flavour.
For this second release in the Cask Strength series, Gordon Motion, our Master Whisky Maker, selected mainly sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, along with just a few ex-bourbon casks. You?ll find aromas of summer rose, ripe pear and fresh coconut gathering on a wave of aromatic peat smoke, followed by a wild harmony of sweet and spicy flavours - poached pear and rich almond cake, a drizzle of cloudy honey and a twist of salty liquorice. There?s the suggestion of toasted oak and intriguing notes of orchard fruits, black pepper and sweet aniseed linger, in a satisfyingly long finish. In a word (or three) we call it ?smoky peppered praline?.

We?ve been crafting our award-winning whisky at the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, since 1798. Age, experience and respect for tradition may define our whisky, but it?s Orkney that sets it apart. Something magic happens here and the result is the wild harmony of flavours found in our whisky.

Bottled straight from the cask, without adding water to reduce alcohol content, delivers the extraordinary depth, complexity and balance of flavours that?s now the established hallmark of our Cask Strength series. Release No. 3 is no exception.
This third release has been created using an expertly balanced combination of three cask types ? first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks and a smaller quantity of refill casks for balance and depth. Using a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt, our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has achieved an intensely smoky character, coming through first on the nose with aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, balanced by honey-glazed lemons and crushed aniseed.
Discover what best suits your palate by experimenting with the amount of water you add as you release this whisky?s distinctive notes of ripe mango, cloudy heather honey and whipped vanilla cream with a hint of aromatic violet. Pink grapefruit zest, freshly-baked sponge cake and a final gust of heathery peat smoke provide a long and distinctive finish.

Highland Park is one of Scotland's great distilleries. Owners, Edrington Group continue an ongoing project that exports 'ambassador' casks around the globe. Aimed at connoisseurs and collectors, most are bottled as deeply coloured, middle-aged expressions from active sherry casks. They've established Highland Park's reputation as a top-class malt for a new generation.
We have secured a small volume of this spectacular Korean Duty Free Exclusive, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2019 from first-fill European oak sherry cask #6529. While there's been at least one equivalent Australian bottling, Korea clearly has more than a few thrill-seekers satisfied with nothing less than the most explosive malts Scotland has to offer.
A massively complex nose, with aromas of matchbox, pickled onion, brackish water and white pepper to break through to sweeter, richer sensations of oloroso, pipe tobacco, dried fruits and nut infused dark chocolate.
The palate packs a punch; the entry is big on wood spice, climaxing in a spike of spirit heat, a rush of nutty malt, dark chocolate, ginger bread and trace sulphur, while the aftertaste lingers with bitter peels, Asian spices, match box and distant wood smoke.
It's the kind of whisky that reveals itself gradually, picking up sherry definition with each pass. Experiment with ample water to tame the peppers and draw out the honeyed tones, and allow plenty of air time to show its best.
Emptied from cask at a whopping 63.3%, we have a fraction of the original 584 bottles on offer

Double Gold Medal winner at The San Fransisco World Spirits Competition 2018. Silver Medal Winner World Whiskies Awards 2018. The China Wine & Spirits Best Value Awards 2014. Gold Medal Winner, San Fransisco World Spirits Competition 2012.
Officially launched in 2006, this 10 year old lies at the heart of the Isle of Arran range and exudes all the honeyed richness we have come to associate with the island distillery.
Nose: Herbal, biscuity, hedgerow greenness and dried grass, like a long English summer's afternoon.
Palate: Sweet. Quite malty, digestive biscuits, followed by green fruits and Cox's apple peel.
Finish: Slightly bitter, maltiness.
The Tobermory Distillery is found on the Isle of Mull on the way to Skye from Islay and the whiskies made here reflect this island location with coastal, maritime, saline hints. The distillery produces two different, but equally alluring, single malts: the fruity, non-peated Tobermory and the more robust and smoky Ledaig. This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV.
A perfect expression of harmony, complexity and refinement, VIKING PRIDE combines honey sweetness with delicious hints of cherries wrapped in chocolate, and subtle top notes of aromatic peat smoke.
Named ?best spirit in the world? in the Spirit Journal, on two separate occasions, the intense balance of the flavours found in VIKING PRIDE owes everything to our five traditional keystones of production, honoured for over 200 years. Slow-burning, aromatic peat from Hobbister Moor; hand turned floor maltings, Sherry seasoned European oak casks, cool maturation in our temperate island climate and a long and unhurried harmonisation process. Like our founder, Magnus Eunson, we share our Viking ancestors? commitment to skilled craftsmanship as well as their proud, independent spirit.
