Chignard Fleurie Moriers 2020

Cedric Chignard's Fleurie is a beautiful fleshy, soft and velvet smooth expression of the Gamay grape, made from 70+ year old vines planted on the steep south facing slopes of the Les Moriers vineyard. All vines here are planted en gobelet, a traditional untrellised style, which sees the vines benefit from the reflected heat from the granite soils. This vineyard site borders the neighbouring Moulin-?-Vent, another of the 10 cru Beaujolais appellations. 

Flavours span the gamut of plump, juicy red berries and floral aromas with notes of spicy adding complexity. 

Fleurie is renowned for being a floral and smooth expression and is one of the friendliest, most approachable styles of Beaujolais.
