Aged for seven years and bottled at 107 proof, this is Bourbon (whiskey) for the stout of heart. It's the smoothest of Beam's Small Batch range, and has delectable flavours like toasted coconut, cashew and vanilla.Baker was a bit of a rogue, but his families love of distilling runs through his veins - it would have to considering his Grand-Uncle was the legendary Jim Beam.

Basil Hayden?s Bourbon is one of four bourbons that comprise Jim Beam?s Small Batch Bourbon Collection. The others are Knob Creek, Baker?s Bourbon, and Booker?s Bourbon. Basil Hayden?s falls first in line proof-wise at 80 proof. While the other three bourbons in the Small Batch Collection all share the same mashbill of 77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley, Basil Hayden?s is created using Jim Beam?s high-rye mashbill that is found in Old Grand-Dad and Old Grand-Dad 114.

Basil Hayden?s is named after the late Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. who was known for his use of high rye bourbon mashbills.

Named after Bernard Bernheim, one of two German immigrants who founded the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY in the 19th century, Bernheim Wheat Whiskey is distilled and produced by the esteemed Heaven Hill Distilleries company.Bernheim is bottled at 90 proof in a sophisticated, yet unassuming bottle, similar in shape to Woodford Reserve, sealed by a wax-covered cork, and packaged in a slim and attractive reusable box that will fit easily into your cabinet. Instead of the richer, bolder blush of whiskeys distilled from well, anything else, Bernheim?s exudes a light and airy honey color that is non-threatening, even inviting. To the eye, it is more similar to many Scotch or Irish whiskeys than what you may be accustomed to seeing in its American brethren.It has a warm, yet sweet aroma that is delicate without coming off as too wispy. One almost has to wonder at first glance if it will taste syrupy, as its texture seems to threaten, but will likely be pleased to find that it has a fruity, nutty flavor that seems to miss the tongue and leave the drinker wanting another taste right away. This gem is from bourbon barrels selected by the master distiller from a choice middle-of-the-rickhouse location and is aged for 12 years.
