The Revival is the first expression released from Glenglassaugh distillery after being mothballed for more than 20 years. The Glenglassaugh Revival has been matured in a balanced mix of ex-red wine and fresh bourbon casks, vatted and re-racked for double maturation in rich sherry casks. Bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and of natural color, Revival is a stunning Highland single malt with coastal charm.
Colour: Copper
Nose: Sweet caramel and toffee with notes of nutty sherry, milk chocolate and honey. Ripe plums, red berries, and oranges. Caramelized sugar and earthy, charred oak.
Palate: Sweet, rounded and creamy. Oranges, plums, cherry and walnuts, chocolate, honey-mead, sherry, and soft, spiced oak.
Finish: Medium with warming mulled-wine spices, sherry, and caramel.
Glenglassaugh Sandend is inspired by the crescent beach of Sandend Bay where the distillery resides. Enriched in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks, over time the lush flavour of Glenglassaugh Sandend brightens into waves of tropical sweetness, infused with a crack of sea salt.

Glenglassaugh Torfa with its peaty, phenolic nature, is a unique expression, and it is quite different to the usual style of whisky produced in the Highlands. Torfa, referring to the Old Norse word for peat, is a brooding, edgy character, whose personality is to be found at the darker end of the spectrum. Bottled at 50%, non chill filtered and natural colour. Looks Gleaming yellow gold. Smells: Vivid, sweet, sooty campfire smoke and sea air infuses zest of lime, apricot jam and ripe soft fruits; all gently warmed by hints of stem ginger and cracked black pepper. Tastes: An eloquent, sweet coastal peat smoke engulfs candied peel over melon, pineapple and roasted red apples. Oat biscuits, hints of heather honey and a gentle cigar box spice all combine to give a terrific balance to the expressive smoky character. Finishes: A heady, yet elegant harmony of distinct coastal peat and striking spiced fruit flavours.
Glengoyne is a small farm-style distillery located under the slopes of Dumgoyne in at the southern border of the Scottish Highlands.
The second bottling from Douglas Laing's 2020 outturn this is also from a refill hogshead REF - DL14559. Distilled in August 2005
The notes say to expect the distillery's typical clean, crisp, fruity barley but in a mouthcoating, syrupy, even sugary style with a touch of citrus tang. Non chill filtered at 48.4%. 260 bottles from a refill hogshead.
Nose: Clean and crisp, sweet and spiced, gristy and honeyed.... so fresh and fruity.
Palate: Deliciously mouthcoating in syrupy, sugary style - warming spice and runs to barley.
Finish: Gently toasted developing to allspice, tangy citrus notes and Malted barley (FHL).
Straddling the line bewteen Highland and Lowland Malts - the distillery is in the Highlands, but the warehouse is in the Lowlands. They also reckon they have the slowest distillation in Scotland - grab a bottle and see what slow distillation tastes like. Glengoyne 10 is a lightish, fruit and nut style whisky - they type that will please everyone, but might not blow the socks off a hardened Islay drinker (but that's why we have Ardbeg). Matured in sherry and refill sherry, and bottled at 40%;
Completely unpeated (unusual in the highlands), this Glengoyne is soft, fruity and very quaffable. A fine single malt!
Nose: Toffee apples, a little acacia honey, nectarine in syrup and spice, supported by toasted barley in the background.
Palate: Over-ripe grapes, honeyed with hints of vanilla, coconut milk and oak spice. Light touches of chocolate ice-cream.
Finish: Long, oily finish with lingering coffee notes.

At the heart of Glengoyne Cuartillo are hand-selected first fill Oloroso sherry casks, crafted from American oak. The casks are revered by the winemakers of Cuartillo and other ancient vineyards in southern Spain. The wood brings a soft, well-balanced character, the ideal partner for Glengoyne Cuartillo as it matures in our stone-built warehouses at Dumgoyne.
Here we have the second chapter in Glengoyne?s ?Legacy? series. It celebrates a significant landmark in the distillery?s history, when Cochrane Cartwright struck upon a slower distillation process, and sherry-cask maturation. Expect a lot of complex sweetness in the nose and palate, with banana, peaches and maple syrup all combining with sharp lime and mint.
48% ABV
Still owned by Ian Macleod, this Southern Highlander is noted for its emphasis on sherry casks and unpeated malt. A no age statement Glengoyne, released as part of the Spirit of Oak collection originally for the Travel Retail market. After a maturation in exceptional European and American oak, the Highland single malt was treated to a finish Pedro Ximénez casks. A thoroughly tasty and complex dram.
Nose: Dried apricot, caramelised nuts, zesty lemon sweeties, milk chocolate and vanilla fudge.
Palate: Honeyed fruits, fresh grapes, caramelised brown sugar, lemon zest, warming pepper and ginger spice.
Finish: More honey, with citrus, more milk chocolate and a pinch more white pepper.
The flagship expression from the Glenkinchie distillery, one of the stalwarts of the Lowlands. A fantastic introduction to the region, Glenkinchie 12 Year Old shows off the characteristic lightness and grassy elements that Lowland whiskies are known for, with nods to cooked fruit and Sauternes wine along the way. Brilliant single malt to enjoy as an aperitif on a warm evening.
Nose: A light, aromatic nose with hints of barley malt, almonds, hazelnuts and manuka honey/beeswax.
Palate: Very fruity palate with a mix of stewed fruits, dessert wine, apple peels and honey. Becomes quite oaky late palate.
Finish: A medium-length finish with barley and freshly mown grass?
