This whisky is aged in first-fill bourbon and finished in former rye casks for an additional six months. The whisky is comprised from only five distilleries including Dufftown and the now-closed Port Dundas.

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare releases are a series of limited editions that explore the rich flavours and distinctive distillery characters of selected whiskies from the Johnnie Walker Blue Label reserves. 

This limited edition series sees some of their rarest whiskies reawakened. At the heart of this limited edition lies the highly sought-after Islay single malt, Port Ellen - a ?ghost? distillery that shut its doors in 1983.

In crafting Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen, Jim blended the highly sought-after ghost whiskies from Port Ellen, Caledonian and Carsebridge, with five incredibly rare malts from Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol and Oban. The result is a whisky with layers of creamy vanilla sweetness and rolling waves of waxy citrus, rich malt and tropical fruit notes - all perfectly balanced by the distinctive maritime smokiness of Port Ellen that lingers in, the long and warming finish.

The John Walker & Sons Celebratory Blend is inspired by a breakthrough moment, the release of Old Highland Whisky in the 1860s, which was created primarily for export and became the first of our whiskies to travel from Scotland to the four corners of the world. With more whisky being sold overseas, the iconic design of the square bottle and uniquely slanted label were distinct and helped the name stand out against other whiskies. John Walker & Sons Celebratory Blend is a sensorial journey featuring notes of sweet dried raisins, subtle spice and marzipan, which develop into hints of roasted nuts, icing sugar sweetness and gentle peat, with a soft pepper finish. This 12-year-old whisky, which comes with two branded glasses, is the core of the island distillery's new range, and offers notes of gentle smoke, spice and dark fruit. The single malt was aged in bourbon casks for 12 years, followed by a brief spell in casks that previously held oloroso sherry ? just the thing to give it extra flavours of raisins, milk chocolate and citrus.

A rich expression of the Jura distillery character with some added spice and earthiness from maturation in ex-Bourbon barrels and American rye whiskey casks. Jura?s hallmark citrus and minerality are tempered by baking spices, ginger and toasted nuts, leading to a finish filled with creamy vanilla and hints of soft fruit

This 18 year old completes the all new, revamped Jura line up and has been matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and former red wine casks. Richer and fuller bodied than its siblings this expression has warming aromas of toffee, tropical fruits and cinnamon; followed by flavours of black forest fruit, dark chocolate and hints of coffee in the finish.

At journey?s end in the heart of our island, you?ll find them: The Sacred Mountain, The Mountain of the Sound and The Mountain of Gold. These are The Paps of Jura which tower over the landscape for miles around, commanding respect from islander and traveller alike. Matured for 19 years in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced by a complex finish from hand-selected Pedro Xim?nez Sherry casks that previously held 40 years old Pedro Xim?nez Sherry wines. 

Dark ruby in the glass this opens with orange chocolate, soft marzipan & hint of crushed walnuts on the nose, leading to a palate that is all about maraschino cherries, citrus fruits and soft liquorice. 

Fully matured in ex-Bourbon casks then finished in vintage 1963 oloroso sherry casks ? the same year in which the distillery on Jura re-established itself at the heart of the island.
