Created by the Lochlea distillery at the farm once home to Robbie Burns, this new Lowland distillery produces 100% of its whisky from barley grown and harvested on-site. This season small batch release sees 100% ex-bourbon barrels selected from higher up in their warehouses, with the faster maturation apparent. A juicy red apple and ripe pear fruit is followed by flavours of vanilla pod and almond oil, with a crisp and refreshing pine forest note in the background. An exciting new release from the family at Lochlea.
46%ABV
This exceptionally balanced single malt is matured in three different types of oak cask. First fill American oak barrels bring sweet caramel notes, tempered with hints of warm spices from ex-sherry casks, whilst traditional oak casks impart subtle depth. The result is a smooth malt, with delicate spice and sweet treacle toffee notes.
Made using barley grown on Macallan's Speyside estate, distilled once a year in a single week, this single malt has been matured exclusively in sherry seasoned oak butts and hogsheads. Warm, comforting aromas of cinnamon, dried fruits, sweet lemons and caramel fill the nose, and the palate initially offers notes of warm spice, dry oak and fresh figs. Sweet orange and dried fruit flavours develop slowly, alongside delicate citrus and sweet toffee.
Macallan Estate is presented in a striking box inspired by the landscape of Speyside. Featuring an inlay of hand-cut slate, this unique box reflects the sense of place found in the whisky.
The Macallan Double Cask 12 years old is 100% Sherry seasoned, and 100% Natural Color, in keeping with The Macallan?s tradition, but unique in the fact it is defined by the unmistakable prominence of the American oak style. The Macallan brings new oak from America across thousands of miles to Spain, where casks are crafted and sherry seasoned before traveling to our distillery in Speyside, where they are filled and matured for at least 12 years. These whiskies are then harmoniously united with those aged in exceptional sherry seasoned European oak casks.
Nose: This burnished gold spirit presents a lemon citrus nose, the orange peel and an interlacing sweetness that softens but doesn't eliminate the zest. A quiet note of vanilla is followed by dark chocolate - more assertive, yet not overly so - with a lingering floral and light oak notes.
Palate: Citrus and boiled sweets rule the palate, along with hints of ginger and cinnamon, while soft oak tones reveal toasted apples.
Finish: The finish is medium sweet, malty and slightly dry.
Macallan's Triple Cask range was launched in 2018, taking the place of the Fine Oak range. This is the entry level expression from the series, matured for 12 years and drawn from a combination of European sherry seasoned casks, American sherry seasoned casks and American ex-bourbon casks.
Nose: Gingerbread, vanilla essence, wafts of buttered toast and clotted-cream-topped scones.
Palate: Raisins, sultanas and stem ginger. Citrus begins to develop on the palate, with a touch of dark chocolate.
Finish: Subtle cedar and honey linger on the palate.
Another stellar addition to the Double Cask range from Macallan, it's a 15 Year Old expression! The single malt spent its years in a combination of American and European oak, both of which were seasoned with Oloroso sherry. What did you expect from Macallan? A wonderful balance of creamy sweetness and fiery spice to be found in this one.
Nose: Butterscotch and plump raisin, with spiced apple crumble and oak spice.
Palate: Dried fruits galore, with a dusting of cinnamon, candied ginger and orange peel.
Finish: More warming ginger alongside a drizzle of honey and buttery caramel.
Each single malt within the range is an exploration of flavour and texture, from vibrant and fresh through to rich and intense, concluding with a whisky that signifies the essence of The Macallan. The Macallan Enigma represents the pinnacle of the Quest Collection journey in this rich and intense whisky.
A rich and intense single malt offers up mature oak with subtleties of cinnamon, vanilla and dried fruit.

A masterpiece of design, M is brought to conception by creative director and legendary designer Fabien Baron, brought to life by Lalique mastery of crystal and brought to purpose by The Macallan.
Fashioned in the highest grade crystal, each hand crafted M decanter unites proven tradition with originality, drawing on over 150 years of Lalique mastery and dedication in its refinement and flawless clarity. Its six striking facets are Baron?s homage to The Macallan?s Six Pillars; reflecting our deep rooted heritage at the heart of the decanter's unique design ethos and the vibrant natural colour of the whisky itself. Drawing on some of the richest and rarest casks maturing at the distillery, this is a complex and intense whisky. With a rich rosewood colour derived from the sherry seasoned Spanish oak casks that have nurtured this special whisky through its maturation process, M delivers a complexity and sumptuous intensity rarely experienced in a single malt.

Finish: The heavier raisin and sultana flavours take over, meandering to a long full finish.
Coming Together in Celebration
Telling the story of Scotland?s world-famous Hogmanay festivities celebrated annually on 31st December, A Night on Earth in Scotland captures the universal joy of celebrating the change of year.
This seasonal release is a collaboration with acclaimed Japanese-French illustrator Erica Dorn, whose artwork has featured in director Wes Anderson?s films.
The single malt is presented in unique packaging to provide a special unboxing experience and Dorn?s playful abstract illustrations are inspired by the historic fire rituals dominant in New Year celebrations around the world.
Hogmanay Tradition
Hogmanay, pronounced "hog?muh?nei?, is Scotland?s renowned New Year?s Eve festivities. Erica Dorn?s bespoke designs reveal some of the distinctive customs of Scotland?s Hogmanay, including the act of ?first footing? when it is good luck for a dark-haired visitor to be the first person to cross the threshold of your home after the stroke of midnight.
According to tradition, the ?first footer? will carry three things: shortbread, whisky and coal for the fire. Each gift is designed to bring comfort and happiness to your home for the rest of the year. Shortbread is also a prominent flavour in the whisky.
Festive Flavours
A Night on Earth in Scotland is created from a selection of The Macallan?s exceptional American and European oak sherry seasoned casks, along with American ex-bourbon barrels to deliver its rich, sweet shortbread-like character. A whisky referencing the rich Scottish delicacy traditionally gifted and eaten at Hogmanay, punctuated by festive notes of dried orange and spice.
A Perfect Pairing: Sip neat with shortbread on the side.

This whisky tells a different story of The Macallan spirit and casks, but more than that it tells a story of rarity. Less than 100 casks maturing at The Macallan distillery have contributed to the creation of this out of character whisky. These mysterious casks remained untouched in the dark warehouses of The Macallan under the watchful eye of our Master Whisky Maker, until he felt they were ready to be released.
Smoky Macallan is rare - there is very little in existence - and once used these casks will be no more. Unexpected and distinctive in flavour with full bodied richness from the Macallan spirit, Rare Cask Black is an unusual smoky spirit that tells a story of creativity and innovation.
This new blend from Adelphi takes its name from long-time collaborator and whisky legend Charles Maclean (MBE), and by pure coincidence, a rocky landmark known as 'Maclean's nose' near the Ardnamurchan distillery. This is an old-fashioned style of blend - a very high proportion of single malt is used (70%) predominantly from the west coast of Scotland, giving this whisky a flavour of burnt citrus peel, sea salt toffee and bonfires by the beach.
