Australian Beer
We?ve been wanting to make a beer like this for a while, and who better to combine forces with than our pals at 450 North Brewing Co. hailing from the road-side in Columbus, IN. USA. Inspired by the humble Australian lamington, with its vanilla, coconut, cake, and icing sugar, we collectively decided that something ?extra? was needed. And so, arguably illegal amounts of banana, mango, and lactose were thrown in for good measure. We?re not partial to the adage that you can have too much of a good thing, and On the Lam really encapsulates that.
Slurp it up champ. BYO straw.

A lemonade for the ages!
Harnessing the power of friendship and sunshine, we've gone and taken a gosh darn bucket load of fresh Aussie lemons that had no home and blended them up with some of our in-house made spirits to give y'all a thirst-quenching, summer-making, tasty wee number that'll have you dreaming of the sun-drenched coastlines of your backyard pool.
Think an old-school lemon squash that got a lil bit boozy.? ?

When boundaries become constricted, that’s when it’s time to triple up, break through barriers, and enter a new realm elevating our Double Take to God Mode. You are holding in your hand a can containing no less than 62 individual raspberries blended into our biggest sour base to date. We’ve tripled down on all the good stuff our Raspberry Doubletake Sour had to offer, culminating in another overhaul of our already absurd fruit dosing rate at a mind-bending 690 grams of raspberries into every litre. And thus the Berliner wine was spawned, a new style that will have us all doing a Triple Take.

It's hazy. It's dope. It's back!
Gold medal winner at the 2022 Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards for Best Modern IPA, we?re stoked to be bringing back this hazy DIPA fave. A product of the dedication our Hazy Program wizard Paddy brings in every day.
Faded is loaded up with Citra?, X-33?, Nectaron? and Salvo? - new world hops that punch out those oh-so-plush tropical flavours of mango, papaya and nectarine. Heavy handed wheat and oat additions lend that chewy base we love, while a major adjustment in this latest brew - a pressure ferment with our new in-house yeast strain - takes it to a whole other level.
A show stopping line up worth the chew.

Tripels are a strong pale beer that have been brewed in Belgium since the 1930?s. The name originates from when breweries marked their beers with X?s according to their strength. Those marked with three X?s being referred to as a Tripel. Threefold has complex flavours from fermentation with a Belgian style yeast strain. This beer is highly carbonated through a re-fermentation in the package just like the original Tripels from Belgium.

Shadow Puppet is our first West Coast Pilsner, a style that combines the clean malt and yeast profile of a pilsner with the big hopping of a West Coast IPA. We used freshly harvested 2024 Australian Eclipse hops, including a generous dry hop. Giving the beer strong mandarin and citrus notes, with a touch of pine.

The Czech Republic has the highest beer (pivo) consumption in the world, with over 140L consumed annually per capita. That?s almost double that of Australia. And you thought Australians liked their beer! You could say that pivo is pivotal to the Czech lifestyle? Pivotal stays true to the 10? Plato lagers preferred in the Czech Republic. It showcases Czech pilsner malt produced using a traditional floor malting process, spicy Saaz hops and a classic Czech lager strain.

Flemish Red Ales are often referred to as the Burgundy of Belgium due to their deep reddish-brown hue and wine-like characteristics. Outback Sky is our interpretation of a Flemish Red Ale. Melody is a Vienna Lager, reddish-copper in colour, smooth and malty, with some toffee and bready flavours. It?s brewed with a restrained hop usage giving just enough bitterness to provide a balanced finish. First introduced in Vienna in the 1840s, it is now a style that is rare in Austria, but has been embraced by several large Mexican breweries as well as craft breweries around the world.

Bitters were the dominant beer style in English pubs from the 1960s to the 1990s, until it was surpassed by light lagers. Amber coloured and surprisingly full of flavour given their low alcohol content, they are arguably the ultimate session beer. Keep it Real is our modern interpretation of a traditional Bitter, brewed with all English malt and hops.

German Pils are the German adaptation of the original Pilsners from Pilsen in the Czech Republic. Brewed using pilsner malt and noble hops, both sourced from Germany, Jagged Little Pils spent five weeks lagering in our horizontal tanks. This is a pale, dry and bitter beer with an extra crisp finish.

Golden Valley is our homage to Orval, the Belgian Trappist beer that has served as a huge inspiration for our brewing philosophy at Slow Lane. A bitter ale fermented with a Belgian Abbey yeast strain and dry hopped with Styrian Golding hops, then can-conditioned with Brettanomyces to give the beer its distinctive complexity. Similarly to Orval, this is a living beer and its flavours will continue to develop during extended cellaring.
