Belgian Beer
Piraat triple hop is a balanced, complex brew with defined hop character. Brouwerij Van Steenberge uses the famous Piraat ale as the base providing the brew with a full-bodied fruity flavor from the malt blended with dry characteristics derived from the high levels of alcohol. Then, four different hops are added into the brew three times during the brewing process (hence triple hop).
The hops pitched are saaz, tetra and aurora twice in the brew house and then cascade is used to dry hop. These four hop styles deliver a complex character, which stands up to the great name of Piraat.

Last year, for the first time Duvel Tripel Hop was brewed with the unique hop variety Cashmere and it was a resounding success. The limited-edition specialty beer flew off the shelves and many beer lovers missed out. Swayed by the popular demand to brew a new batch, the brewers decided to use the limited-availability hop again in 2020.

Belgian Blond Ale, with refermentation in the bottle.
Fully bodied blond with a beautiful, natural haziness.
Well balanced with fruity, soft finish. Lively, fruity aromas thanks to the use of orange zest and dry hopping.
No fewer than 6 different hop varieties are used for Duvel 6,66%: just like the classic Duvel, it?s based on the noble and exclusive hop varieties Saaz and Styrian Golding. The flavour is then balanced by adding four expertly selected hop varieties to the mix, which also involves the dry-hopping technique.

The Monk?s Stout Dupont is part of the Brewery Dupont?s history. Indeed, it was produced in the 50?s. The aim was to revive this stout while maintaining the name and the design of the time.
Re-created in 2011, this dark beer is characterized by a dry and bitter taste. The use of roasted malts lends a well-pronounced taste of coffee and chocolate. The hop flavours remain perceptible though.

Despite the technological advances, this beer is brewed according to ancient tradition and unites, as before, the best raw materials from the soil as ripe barley and fine hops, to preserve a maximum of pure flavor. This beer was originally brewed for the Knights of the Golden Fleece in 1491.
Full graceful tenderness, with a clean and neat taste, this beer will enchant you: matured in the bottle, exclusively obtained from pale malt, highly fermented and 100% natural. With a full-bodied flavor that still works thirst quenching, thanks to a balanced hopping.

Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste palate of the Gouden Carolus beers. ?Hopsinjoor? derived from ?Opsinjoor?, the typical character of Mechelen and also because of the use of 5 different kinds of hops. These hops are fractioned at a different time during the cooking process in order to conserve a maximum of aroma.
Concerning the taste, the Ale has a gentle taste with a slightly bitter finish. Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor was launched in 2008 on the Zythos Beer Festival and hit the mark: the visitors elected it as best beer, bringing Het Anker ?The Consumer?s trophy Zythos Beer Festival 2008?.
The beer is bottled unfiltered in order to preserve the bitterness of the hop as much as possible.

Gouden Carolus Ambrio is a full-tasting, but deceptively drinkable, amber ale has a good fruitiness and a nice hop edge which tempers the caramellised malt. It is clean and precise, within an almost perfect balance of Challenger and Goldings hops. The recipe has its origin in the 14th century. The present version is a little more heavy and contains more hops. The balance between the different malts, the fine hops and typical tastes of spices creates a perfect harmony between the powerful taste of brown beers and the freshness of the blond beers. This fresh aromatic and pithy light-brown drink can be served cool.
