Belgian Beer
Delirium Tremens' brother, Delirium Nocturnum, is a darker style of Belgian ale from the Huyghe Brewery, featuring more robust notes of well-roasted malt at its core. As ever, it comes in their unique bottles with the very cool labels...
Plenty of the fruit notes from the Delirium Tremens can be found here, namely banana and ripe pear, but now it's joined by a generous helping of chocolate malt goodness. Bitterness is more restrained than the Tremens, too. More focus is put on the caramel sweetness and vibrant fruit.

HORAL’s Oude Geuze Mega Blend, a brew released every odd numbered year as part of Toer de Geuze, held in Belgium’s lambic country, is now available from Belgium in a Box. Oude Geuze Mega Blend 2019 is a cooperative effort between most of the lambic producers who participated in the 2019 Toer de Geuze, an open house which was held at most of Belgium’s lambic makers on May 4-5, 2019. It is a blend of lambics from eight producers: Brouwerij Boon, De Oude Geuzestekerij De Cam, Hanssens Artisanal, Brouwerij Lindemans, Brouwerij Oud Beersel, Gueuzerie Tilquin, Brouwerij Timmermans, and Brouwerij De Troch.
32,100 bottles were filled of this 2019 vintage, about twice as many as were for the first release in 2009. This is due to the popularity, drinkability, and aging potential of this biennial beer. Brouwerij Boon in Lembeek handled the blending, aging, and bottling of this lambic, which is a unique blend every release. I have tasted every vintage of this Oude Geuze, namely, the 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019. I feel the 2019 has very good prospects for long-term aging, as has been the case with previous vintages.

A golden peach lambic with a sparkling appearance and fruity taste. Taste: Golden in colour; with a nose that fills the room with fresh peaches. Sparkling, crisp and refreshing balance of fruit and acid.
Tasting Notes
A hazy yellow pour, is topped with a frothy eggshell cap that leaves nice lace. Full on fresh peach aroma, some yeast, tart citrus, smells inviting. Tastes sweet and tart. Lots of peach of course with a tart citric component that balances the sweetness. A bit of hops lead to a grassy finish. Very peachy and not overly complex, but refreshing and enjoyable.

Timmermans P?che is made by adding 100% natural peach flavouring to lambic fermenting in oak barrels. This beer?s characteristic aroma is very pleasant on the nose, and it has a velvety flavour and a creamy foam. Timmermans P?che is a fruity drink, very easy on the palate, to be drunk with a smile on one?s lips.
Taste-wise ?
A powerful fruit aroma immediately followed by the flavour of the peach. A mature beer which shows clear evidence of its maceration with the fruit. A sweet and fruity flavour with just a hint of bitterness from the peach kernel and skin.

TThe gnomes of Fairyland may be little, but they have big, very big, personalities. HOUBLON CHOUFFE matches their impish spirits. All gnomes, with their innate good taste, are in full agreement about HOUBLON CHOUFFE, which is flavoured by three different types of hops. This India Pale Ale is appreciated for its pronounced bitterness combined with the fruity tones of traditional Achouffe beers: it softens the strongest of characters.

Colour and appearance: red amber, very dense fine white head. Fragrance: spicy, citrus, grapefruit, a hint of caramel in the nose.
Flavour: full-bodied, intense and a touch of caramel. Together with the spicy, citrus-like bitterness, they give this beer a complex and very pleasant fresh, full and bitter aftertaste.
History: specialty beer created to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Delirium Tremens

The very wine-like accents in this Traditional Oude Geuze are combined with a distinctive 'old beer' character, which gives it a full-bodied and robust flavour, with an unmistable hints of volatile acidity that never overwhelm the senses.
Cask no. 108, dating from 1935, came to us from a different brewery, whose beers contained some volatile acidity. The foeder now adds a bit of character to all our geuse blends.

The highly subtle, elegant and gentle flavour of Traditional Oude Geuze, VAT 91, is due to foeder no. 91, which used to serve as a calvados cask in Nomandy.
Now this foeder produces an excellent, gentle Lambic, which is just perfect for Traditional Oude Geuze. VAT 91 is soft, full bodied, complex and well balanced.
The unique oval shape of foeder no. 91 provides optimal use of warehouse space.

Oakwood, complex and perfectly balanced, with smoky and spicy touches.
This traditional Oude Geuze is the favorite of our team of tasters. Its is pleasantly full bodied, complex and has a few smoky and spicy touches. These unique flavours are due to the oak cask, which used to be used by red wine makers in France's Rh?ne Valley.
The oak leaves a clear mark on the general taste, adding an extremely welcome touch to the Lambic's aroma.
