Balancing a unique expression of Roots Marlborough Dry Gin with an organic Marlborough pinot noir wine, harvested from biodynamically certified grapes. A classic juniper forward London Dry gin as a base supported by signature Roots botanicals of juniper, coriander, grapefruit, hops and native kawakawa alongside the aromatic angelica and orris roots.
Rutte has been distilling genevers, gins and liqueurs since 1872 and today the firm's motto still remains the same: "distilled with passion". They use no artificial flavorings or colorings; all of the flavor and color comes from fresh fruit, herbs and nuts, which is obvious from the products' sublime flavors and aromas! The historical building in the center of Dordrecht has been preserved in its original state. The distillation process is still carried out there and smaller, more specialized orders are still bottled by hand. The family's former living room on the first floor has been converted into a gorgeous tasting room. Now the smallest distillery in the Netherlands is presenting new distillates to the global market. With Rutte Celery Gin, Rutte Old Simon Genever, Rutte Dry Gin, this traditional company is offering bartenders worldwide not only a source of inspiration for new drink creations but also a rich history.
Tasting Note: A harmonious blend of juniper, fresh orange peel and fennel. Hand written notes from master distiller Jan Rutte (Simon?s grandson) dating back to 1930 inspired us to fashion this elegant, dry gin. Our aim was to create an exceptionally smooth dry gin, which makes for a thirst-quenching gin and tonic or a classic cocktail that is effortless, yet complex.
Scapegrace Black Gin is only possible because nature itself led the way through an infinite maze of botanicals and technique. A maze with only one exit. Aronia Berry, Saffron, Pineapple, Butterfly Pea and Sweet Potato. Blended in set amounts at precise temperatures in a defined sequence, to create something made of nothing, and nothing made of something. This is that flavor. This is the taste of Black.
The colour is naturally black thanks to a unique collection of natural extracts including aronia berry, saffron, pineapple, butterfly pea, sweet potato and a collection of natural botanicals sourced from local plants, flowers and berries.
The latest release from New Zealand's biggest distillery!
Scapegrace's new "Blood Moon" gin is one of the most exciting releases in the New Zealand spirit world for quite some time. This incredible gin's profile is truly unique, combining both dried and fresh botanicals to create a jaw dropping and refreshing Blood Orange gin.
Sourced in Tauranga, the Blood Oranges provide a lovely floral, sweet, and slightly tart finish. Raspberries gathered from the Tasman region provide a natural jam-like sweetness. To round it all off, subtle Kaffir Limes from Gisborne provides a very welcome fragrance, and a sharp lingering finish.
To be enjoyed, to be savored. A palate pleasing shock to the system.?Your taste?s savior. LOOKS: Bright. Crystalline. SMELLS: Classic juniper, in an instant. Subtle floral hints of lavender & orange blossom follow close by. Deeper earthy tones of cinnamon bark & nutmeg arrive next, but be prepared for a fresh burst of multiple citrus to linger longer. TASTES: Full frontal assault to the palate, a juniper & orange zest mixture. Closely followed by sweet lemon, taking over your entire palate. Minimum heat, minimum burn. Frontal palate flavours dominate, with small floral notes on the back palate.?Jasmine and lavender, quite delicious. FINISH: A warming numbness with continued juniper. Surprisingly long finish, coming back with waves of orange & mixed floral notes. Dry Gin, at its prime. Source: roguesocietygin.com
