big velvety stout has been brewed with locally harvested Blueskin Bay clams and it’s being hailed as a heavenly match.

The beer has a dark tawny brown head and a subtle creamy roasty aroma with a hint of vanilla and ocean briny characters. Complex dark roasted characters prevail with more briny notes developing as you delve further into the pint glass.

Frangelic Mountain Brown is the quintessential taproom “one-off” beer: Founders’ brewers created the Mountain Brown series for their taproom in Grand Rapids in 2007. Frangelic Mountain Brown is the 16th iteration in the series of popular brown ales—and it likely won’t be the last. The singular characteristic of this beer comes from the use of hazelnut coffees in the brewing process. The beer has distinct aromatics with sweet and nutty flavors beautifully balanced. Founders is known for its beers made with coffee (i.e., the Breakfast Stout series), but this is both the brewery’s first brown ale and its first beer brewed with hazelnut coffees to be bottled. It clocks in at 9% ABV.

The legendary CBS returns! CBS is a bold imperial stout featuring chocolate and coffee that has aged in bourbon barrels with maple syrup. Itis brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for acreamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. Brewed to 5.4% ABV, London Porter bears outstanding depth of flavour. The blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts provide earthy character and creamy delivery, while hints of coffee and chocolate carry through onto the tongue. Infused with a massive shot of concentrated Newground espresso and burnt Seville orange peel, then blended with four year old bourbon barrel aged beer. A rich, complex, bittersweet blend of bourbon vanilla oak, roasted malts, caramelised citrus peel and coffee. All hail the beast.

The Walrus did beseech. Cabbages & Kings, Imperial Oyster Stout, brewed with the more or less willing assistance of ten dozen fresh Te Matua Bay Pacific oysters, Horopito and Manuka smoked malt. Dark, certainly - and rich with just a suggestion of brine, a touch of smoke and a hint of native New Zealand pepper leaf.

 Here in this beer we've combined this creamy comfort food with the rich, roast character of the milk stout. Brewed with corn flakes, oats, chocolate wheat and a generous dose of milk sugar, Cereal Milk Stout is rich, smooth and redolent of the sweet remnants of the breakfast bowl. Grab a spoon and dig in.

5.8% - Espresso Milk Stout

The old Grinderman, a Garage classic, revisited and revised. Espresso milk stout brewed with crystal oats, chocolate rye and roast barley, fortified with lactose and infused with a double shot of dark New Ground Espresso coffee. Now on nitro for an extra smooth bitter-sweet coffee hit strong enough to satisfy the monkey on anyone?s back.

Island Mind:

You?re castaway on your own desert island, the setting sun slipping into the sea, the soothing swish of waves on white sand. Open your Island Mind and sip on luscious toasted coconut and sweet whole bean vanilla, layered over moreish toffee and dark chocolate malt notes in an ebony dark porter. Now, lie back and pray that help is far, far away.
