BAPTIST is brewed on the occasion of the opening of Bar Baptist at the Van Steenberge brewery and as a tribute to Jan Baptist de Bruyne, who founded the brewery in 1784. The BAPTIST IPA has a hoppy character with a dry, bitter taste and notes of citrus.

Baptist is reborn. In 1784, Jan Baptist de Bruyne founded Van Steenberge Brewery. In 2017 they launch Baptist, a clear top-fermented beer, as a tribute to the founder. The Baptist Blond is a slightly bitter and full-bodied beer with a soft aftertaste.

Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

This monastery beer owes its soft but rich taste to the use of historical yeast strains. Drink Augustijn young and enjoy its fruity, hoppy taste. If you let the monastery beer mature, it will take you along in its taste story

9% ABV

Contract brewed since 1978 by Van Steenberge for the Augustinian monastery at Stephen?s Church in Ghent using the original yeast culture. Sold outside of Belgium as St Stefanus, after the church, to differentiate it from beers that may be made by other Augustinian communities. The monastery receives money from each sale. Ingredients: Pale, Pilsener and Munich malts; brewing sugar; Saaz, German Hallertau; additional bittering hops. Partially filtered after primary fermentation, then cool matured for four weeks. Filtered and then reseeded with Brett and another yeast, and warm conditioned for two weeks. Bottled and stored for a minimum three months before distribution.

The Du Bocq brewery created this wonderful brew and proudly presents this product at our online store. Deugniet is blond coloured and has quite a full and creamy head. This glorious craft beer has a beautiful body and a wonderful aroma. This top fermented beer is blond coloured and very thirst-quenching. This lovely blond brew referments in the bottel and is best served cold. The Du Bocq brewery, creator of this excellent beer, launched Deugniet in 1858. They still respect the original and authentic recipe.

Scent The beer is subjected to a dry hopping process, a technique where extra hops are added during cold lagering, emphasising the character of the beer. Taste A fresh, full and bitter aftertaste make this unique beer a memorable experience

This thirst-quencher opens with aromatic notes of coriander, followed by the flavour of fresh citrus and mild orange, with hints of wheat. This is followed by spicy and herbal notes and fresh hops with a slightly sour body. The fruity finish of lemon and apricot lingers in the mouth because of the mild tingle of carbonation
