Burgundy
The lieu-dit "Les Grèves" references its gravelly terroir, and the name could be considered a derivation of "graves", as used in for the gravelly soils in Bordeaux. This rather large cru (covering approximately 20 hectares) is found in the heart of the slope and considered one of the best of the Beaune Premier Crus.
The vines, planted on lightweight clay and limestone soil enjoy optimal sun exposure. The Beaune Premier Cru "Les Grèves" is an extraordinary wine with rare finesse.
Pouilly-Fuissé is an appellation in the Maconnais region in Burgundy. It is known for producing refreshing and crisp Chardonnay.
Tasting note by Véronique Boss-Drouhin
"A seductive wine and a really nice expression of the Chardonnay grape! The colour is golden, with some green reflections. Among the floral and fruity aromas, almond and ripe grapes dominate. On the palate, the wine is refreshingly pleasant, ethereal in its lightness. Long and refreshing aftertaste".
Chablis is the northernmost wine region in Burgundy, which produces only Chardonnay. The cooler climate gives these wines crispness, acidity and a flinty minerality.
This wine is fresh and pure with an underlying minerality. The palate reveals notes of citrus combined with spicy aromas (fennel, lime blossom, cinnamon and hawthorn). Billaud-Simon wines offer exceptional ageing potential and will evolve well over time.
Great value Chardonnay sourced from Mâcon-Fuissé, Chaintré, Viré-Clessé La Verchère, Saint-Véran, En Combe and Pouilly-Fuissé. This is a great wine to try if you want to get a taste for the Maconnais region in Burgundy.
Buttery, lemony and complex on the palate. This wine has great acidity and freshness coupled with a rich buttery texture. This is a great entry level white Burgundy by excellent winemakers Jean-Phillipe and John-Guillame Bret.

This Chablis reveals white fruit notes such as peach, and has a persistent mineral structure. In the mouth, a stony sensation which is so typical of Chablis makes this a round and pure wine

This premier cru Chablis shows a pronounced nose of fruit and flowers, with lovely freshness and a subtle mineral touch. The palate is generous, with lovely roundness.

William Fevre is one of Chablis' great wine domaines. On this wine, the palate has excellent grip and is classically bone dry with an unctuous, oily texture. The nose is layered with wet stone and chalk minerality, nuts, pale stone fruit and ripe citrus. Notes of ripe green fruit, bright citrus acidity and a lengthy finish make for an elegant, high end Chablis.
‘Vaillons’ originates from the Latin vallis or valles meaning an ‘elongated area between two raised zones’ which escribes the 1er Cru plot from which this wine is made.
Bright, clear hue with attractive golden tinges. This 1er Cru offers remarkable aromatic complexity with aromas of ripe citrus and white flowers. The palate is round and seductive with a lively attack. Excellent length and a refined aromatic persistency combining fruity notes and a delicate acidity. Pleasant sensation of freshness.
This is a great example of Chardonnay without the influence of oak. It remains smooth and full bodied with balance from crisp, fresh, food friendly acidity adding great depth and appeal to the refreshing flavours of green apple note on the nose and palate.

Drinks beautifully with great seafood dishes and roast tender chicken.
