Vi?edos del Contino was created by Cvne and the family owners of the estate in 1973, establishing the ?ch?teau? concept in the Rioja region. It is found in an ancestral home inside a bend in the Ebro river. The wines are made exclusively from the stocks planted on its 62 hectares located in Laserna, near the town of Laguardia in the Rioja Alavesa wine making region.
94+/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Luis Gutierrez
"The renewed classical red 2016 Reserva was produced as a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo. It fermented in small stainless steel and concrete vats and matured in 225-liter French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels for 18 months. It has a very expressive nose, open, aromatic and showy, a little Rh?ne-ish. 2016 was a cooler year and they had a long harvest, and it seems like the fruit ripened thoroughly without excess. It's a natural continuation of the 2015, when the wine already had more freshness and better integrated oak. It has a full body and some dusty tannins, finishing dry and tasty. It's ready to drink. There were 281,389 bottles and 3,000 magnums produced. It was bottled in May 2019." Drink 2020 - 2030

"85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 3% Garnacha, 2% Mazuelo. 90% of the winery?s production. Mid-deep ruby. Ripe, red-cherry fruit, with beautifully layered clove and cedar oak spice notes. Lovely integration of oak and fruit. Well crafted, though there?s a good backbone of fine tannins that will carry it through for a decade from now. (TJ)."
Emerson's - The Orange Roughy's scientific name is Hoplostethus atlanticus. Which roughly translate as, a hazy, hoppy pale ale with a tropical fruit aroma, citrus flavour, and malty backbone. In the past, the roughy has been subject to unsustainable practices - completely selling out. Thanks to the hard work of our brewers, numbers are now on the rise. Careful you don't exceed your quota, though.

A delightfully complex 100% brettanomyces fermented hazy. Sabro hops and shaved coconut give a funky, pi?a colada, tropicana, beach-sunset vibe. Juicy, medium dry, and a tad tart. It?s something deliciously obscure, yet familiar.
Contains: water, malted barley, hops, coconut, yeast (brettanomyces)

Black House is an oatmeal coffee stout bursting with coffee aroma and flavor. Modern Times is one of the only breweries in the world to roast our own coffee, which allows us to be exceptionally picky about which coffees we use and how we roast them. The result is an abundantly flavorful beer that?s incredibly complex and aromatic, with loads of roast character and a chocolate-covered espresso bean finish. But Black House packs all that flavor into a reasonable package: at only 5.8% ABV, it can comfortably be consumed by the pint.

The impressive brains in the Taranaki brewing industry once came up with a genius solution to a dangerous problem. The problem? People were developing a tolerance for Skunk Juice?s powerful fruity essence. The solution? Double Skunk!
What is Double Skunk you ask? It's a pungent brew of our Skunk Juice base, with extra malt, a lashing of extra sugar and almost triple the hops. Originally brewed for the inaugural Taranaki Beer Festival, this brew is an exercise in extravagance - a decadent example of Taranaki ingenuity.

10 Acre Pale Ale is an unfiltered pale ale that has been in our repertoire since our inception in 2018. Named after our lifestyle block in North Canterbury where we live and where our brewery is situated.
10 Acre #15 is the latest iteration on our hop rotational hazy pale series and features a delicious hop combination of Centennial, El dorado and Nectaron hops equally used through the hot side and cold side of brewing schedule.
On an opaque soft malt base this juice is super saturated with Citrus, Stone Fruit, peach, melon and dank pineapple Kush.

Everyone loves a good bit of irony. In this instance though, probably not the Annabell family. Like many European Taranaki settlers, the Annabell ancestors spent their lives clearing Manuka scrub from the land in the Waitotara Valley, only for James and Toby Annabell to allow the Manuka to grow back so that the lucrative honey could be harvested. Egmont Honey now have over 4000 hives and export to more than 20 countries around the world. This beer is a cross-pollination of ideas between Egmont Honey and Shining Peak, which results in a smooth English Brown Ale balanced with the sweet flavour of Taranaki's finest gold.
