The final whisky in a series of three special edition Viking Legend releases – is inspired by Odin, the mightiest of the Norse gods. The most peated whisky Highland Park have released to date, it is matured entirely in refill casks to give beautifully balanced layers of flavour and a character as complex as Odin himself.

Released in 2013, Thorfinn is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.

Created using a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, Thorfinn delivers a deep and complex array of flavours. Think fiery ginger fusing with sun-dried fruits and fistfuls of spice, all emboldened by our signature smokiness.

It?s a magical haven where a sense of solitude is all-pervading: one road, one distillery, one community. There is no whisky and no island quite like Jura.

This 18 year old completes the all new, revamped Jura line up and has been matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and former red wine casks. Richer and fuller bodied than its siblings this expression has warming aromas of toffee, tropical fruits and cinnamon; followed by flavours of black forest fruit, dark chocolate and hints of coffee in the finish.

This eight year old expression was aged in ex-pot still Caribbean rum casks - a first for the distillery. It's a big whisky served at 57.9% with smoke, fruit and the distillery's trademark peppery spice and meatiness all singing in harmony. Smoke, molasses and stewed tropical fruits on the nose align nicely with the palate leading to a feisty, spicy finish.

Dark ruby in the glass this opens with orange chocolate, soft marzipan & hint of crushed walnuts on the nose, leading to a palate that is all about maraschino cherries, citrus fruits and soft liquorice. 

Fully matured in ex-Bourbon casks then finished in vintage 1963 oloroso sherry casks ? the same year in which the distillery on Jura re-established itself at the heart of the island.

The entry point to Jura's range and the start of a metaphorical journey through the flavours of the island's only distillery. Softly smoky, with citrus and orchard-fruit notes. A great place to start your exploration of Jura.

NOSE
Sweet grain ? porridge and cornflakes. Creamy notes with rich vanilla and lemon zest.
PALATE
Soft and sweet to start, with creamy custard and toffee sauce run through with clove and nutmeg. Hints of cocoa powder build at the back with sharp apple notes.
FINISH
Cocoa fades to leave buttery apple sauce and sharp apple skin.

Part of the new core range of whiskies launched by Isle of Jura in early 2018, this 10 year old expression takes the place of Jura Origin. It's initially aged in American white oak bourbon barrels before enjoying a finishing period in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 40% ABV. It has the subtle smoke characteristic of Jura's excellent Island single malts, with robust vanilla and an intense kick of sherried sweetness underneath.

One of a series of five releases from Isle of Jura for the Travel Retail market. The Road is first matured in American oak casks, and is then moved over to casks that previously held 20 year old Pedro Xim?nez sherry.

The Sound is the entry level expression from Isle of Jura's Travel Retail range, all of which feature whisky finished in casks that previously held Pedro Xim?nez sherry of various ages. This particular single malt was finished in casks that matured 15 year old Pedro Xim?nez sherry.

You can spend years waiting for a new release in Talisker's core range then two come along at once! Hot on the heels of Talisker Storm in early 2013 comes Talisker's Port Ruighe, pronounced 'Port Ree'.

This no age statement release is finished in Port wine casks, imparting a new dimension to this Isle of Skye single malt.

Nose: After a wave of initial sea spray, the nose becomes more complex with Crayola crayons, orange pith and a touch of white chocolate. Demerara and even sticking plaster emerge briefly along with plummy, umeshu notes.

Palate: Initial characteristic Talisker brine once again but much sweeter than usual. Thick and mouth coating like the Storm with chilli and a little chocolate orange. Increasingly smoky - much smokier than the nose suggests.

Finish: Milk chocolate becomes cocoa and oak with mocha notes and the faintest hint of that orange pith once again.

This 18 year old single malt is part of a series of six Tobermory expressions originally bottled exclusively for Germany. Aged in bourbon casks, it has a light, fresh and floral nose accompanied by notes of oak, maple syrup and sea salt on the palate.

This is a 21 year old unpeated single malt from Tobermory, which has enjoyed 3 years finishing in oloroso sherry casks before being bottled. 

The nose offers clove-studded orange, dark chocolate, florals and vanilla leading to a palate of prunes walnuts and dark chocolate and a long spice and leather finish.

Bowmore No.1 is producing using single malt Scotch whisky drawn exclusively from first-fill bourbon casks, imparting a creamy sweetness which blends well with the robust Islay smoke that Bowmore is known for. 

40% ABV

A 1996 vintage Ledaig single malt Scotch whisky from Tobermory, which has been given a finishing period in Oloroso Sherry casks. Interestingly, this expression has been made using some of the first peated whisky produced at Tobermory when they started distilling peated malt in 1996!

Peat-dried malted barley is married with naturally peat infused water from the distillery's private water source, a dark aromatic lochan, high in the mountains above the village of Tobermory. Matured in superior Oloroso sherry casks the result is a wonderfully peated single malt with an intense smoky flavorsome character.

The soft gold color of this Ledaig 1996 glistens before you. The nose is rich with fragant smoke, toffee caramel, apple with a hint of mint and a few citrus notes. A wave of crackling peat sets off rich flavor explosions on the palate, black pepper then bursts followed by a light sherry sweetness. The finish is smooth with a spicy salty tail, which disappears into the dark as the peaty embers glow into a smoky finale.

700mL | 46.3% ABV

Located on the Isle of Mull, the Tobermory distillery was founded in 1798. Renamed Ledaig in 1972 when it reopened after 42 years of closure, it was closed again in 1975 before reopening under the name Tobermory in 1989.

It produces two single malts, one unpeated, Tobermory, the other peaty (between 30 and 40 ppm of phenols), Ledaig. To develop the latter, the distillery obtains its barley from the Port Ellen malt house.

This version matured in Bordeaux wine barrels shows us a very gourmet side of this distillery, marked by notes of black fruits, ash and sweet spices.
