Spontaneously Fermented Black Doris Plum Sour
A blend of foeder and puncheon aged beers, fermented with our own house culture, and infused with juicy, ripe Central Otago Black Doris plums. The finished beer is a vibrant crimson, with a remarkable ripe plum aroma, and a lush tart fruit palate.
Bottle conditioned. Serve chilled. Pour carefully.

Smooth as silk mouthfeel with a classic malt hop balance and medium bitterness.The return of the king. Not a LOTR reference but another mountain deity, the ridiculous mountain goats that live in the alps. Our house double finds that sweet spot to match huge flavors with a dangerous drinkability. At 25 grams per litre of Citra, Strata, Riwaka and Sabro added over three dry additions you get huge tropical passion and stonefruit with a hint of citrus to balance the palate. The mouthfeel is soft and lush but retains a level of dryness to enhace the drinkability of such a big beer

Glow is a big East Coast IPA with Galaxy, Centennial, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin & Simcoe. A medium to firm bitterness is balanced with notes of tropical fruit, citrus & pine that allow this hop holy grail to almost glow in the glass!

It’s that time of the year when we drop the husks, hops and hoses and slap on the SPFs, singlets and sunnies. We are spoilt here in Gisborne with so many local growers allowing us to crank out all these new editions of sours. This time our friends at Freemaker Farms invited us to ravage their cherry orchard so our team went out and picked a heap of cherries for our newest concoction. Added during fermentation to our usual wheat and oat heavy grist, this tart little pleasure is easy drinking on the sunny East Coast day.

We’re as cold as ice, and willing to sacrifice… Well… This time we are axing the sugar and body by using rice in the grain bill and letting enzymes finish off the rest of residual sugar. Another Sunshine spinoff, Cold IPA x Brut IPA. Another way to allow the hops shine and take the lead in another modern IPA. Sultana, Sorachi Ace, and Nelson Sauvin hops have been used to add upfront herbaceous, grassy, citrus notes which will leap of this refreshingly dry, crisp IPA. 6.5% ABV |
Sometimes the best beer you can have is simply the one that’s in your hand. Brewed with maize for an extra-dry finish, this light, crispy Mexican lager is perfectly quaffable. A hint of citrus helps refresh the palate via a super-secret 8 Wired dry-hop blend. Best enjoyed ice cold - slice of lime optional!

Fruit and wheat beer is a classic, yet under-appreciated, combo. For this beer we brewed an American-Style Wheat for a clean, light base beer upon which we could fill with zesty grapefruit ( Citrus Paradisi ). An additional dry-hop helps to accentuate the bright citrus flavours for a supremely refreshing ale - a slice of paradise in a glass!
