The first release in the Steamship Collection marks the 125th anniversary of her maiden voyage. Future releases in the collection will reflect the influences of some of the lands she encountered in the course of her extraordinary travels. This product was exclusively matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts to deliver additional spiced honey, dark chocolate and rich dried fruit flavours.
This superb 44 year old Lowland single grain Scotch whisky was laid to rest in April 1976 at the Caledonian distillery, which was sadly closed in 1988, then specially bottled for Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series in April 2020.
Yielded from refill hogshead number DL13925 at a natural strength 52.8% ABV, this is one of just 218 hand-filled bottles that comes complete with glass stopper decanter, fine wooden presentation case and COA.
Attractively spiced as it opens on the nose - running to molasses, muscovado sugar and cereal.
Detect very similar robust tastes on the palate - dark spices in particular with a vanilla based finish, all wonderfully dulcet (FHL).
A bottling of long-aged grain whisky that's special enough to have earned a place in Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series. Aged in a single refil hogshead (DL13717), this abounds with notes of vanilla, rich caramel and dried apricot.
Carsebridge was closed in 1983, just seven years after this whisky was distilled.
Sweetly waxed immediately on the nose with cedar wood, rose water and hard candy
Palatewise there is early ginger biscuit and burnt orange followed by treacle toffee and toasted marshmallow - All neatly replicated on the rather "homebaked" finish (FHL).
An impressive, well aged Flor de Caña single estate rum. A stunning, radiant hue makes it a wonder to look at, and it tastes as good as it looks. Top shelf rum from the Nicaraguan producer.
Nose: Fragrant, floral sweetness up front, with a touch of fresh sugarcane thrown in too. Slowly develops savoury notes of rye bread, thyme and cayenne pepper.
Palate: Very creamy. Much fruitier than the nose suggests, with papaya, kiwi and ripe pear. Oak-y cigar box notes appear later on.
Finish: Soft spices, fried banana and peach, very slightly oily. Goes on and on
This exceptional malt gets its complex, zesty flavours from casks made of Chinquapin Oak (Quercus Muehlenbergii) sourced from the Northern Ozark region in Missouri. Chinquapin is a subspecies of Quercus Alba and delivers spicy flavours and aromas. Air-dried for almost four years, then toasted to medium level these casks give us the perfect balance of spirit and wood character.
This rich bronze malt obtains its silky tannins, sweet spice and fruit notes from hogsheads made of French Oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from the Haute-Garonne region close to the Pyrenees. The fine-grained, consistent wood is air dried for 15 months before hosting the GlenAllachie spirit. The result is a delectable, subtle and earthy Single Malt.
NOSE: Waves of honey, toffee, mocha, orange zest and nutmeg.
TASTE: Heather honey, toffee and butterscotch, with layers of mocha, cinnamon, grapefruit and a hint of earthy tannins.
This American oak aged whiskey distilled from a rye mash is at least two years old. Mostly rye grain and a touch of barley, this rye is a spicy summer rye and makes some great cocktails. A good bitter, or a splash of vermouth or ginger beer goes a long way.

In 1870 George Garvin Brown created Old Forester on Louisville, KY?s, famous Whiskey Row. In honor of that milestone year in bourbon history, we have crafted a tribute - Old Forester 1870 Original Batch - the fi rst expression in the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series.
1870 Original Batch echoes George Garvin Brown?s original batching process. Back then, Brown batched barrels obtained from three distilleries to create a consistent flavor profile. To emulate that process today, we also select barrels from three warehouses, each barrel originating from a different day of production, with a different entry proof and a different age profile. The three expressions of Old Forester are then batched together and minimally filtered to craft Old Forester 1870 Original Batch.
TASTING NOTES

FLAVOR - Baking spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg) fl ow into a citrus fruit mix and shortbread sweetness.
FINISH - Soft, with lingering fruit and spice character.

American oak barrels play host to this rum where it ages for three to four years. Next a woody and nutmeg palette is drawn out in Ferrand French oak casks as the rum continues to mature for one to two years.
The result is a subtle and tropical Barbadian style rum, excellent for aperitifs or classic cocktails like the Mai Tai.
