Fresh and mature, savoury and sweet, lovable and hateful - the latter exclusively because it will come to an end, both in the glass and the bottle. Provoking, regal, flirty yet haughty. This is a very sensual sherry interpretation. A complete and exhilarating whisky entices us to fantasize, and imagine scenes from gangster films.
So let's ride on our 1928 T1, chasing tones and aromas Among the dominating ones we clearly spot confectioner's custard, cosmetics, oat, prairie herbs, leather and tar, all in a symphony. Nose and palate play a game of opposites, and chase each other like cops and robbers.

Samuel's Gorge Winery is in McLaren Vale; a wine region south of Adelaide, which is a hot bed of experimentation for classic European grape varieties such as Tempranillo, the great red grape of Spain.
This wine is dry, full bodied and complex with secondary flavour notes of freshly roasted coffee beans, liquorice and ripe, dark fruit notes. It drinks well now and can age for up to 10 years.
100% Negroamaro from Contrada Monte La Conca, between San Marzano and Francavilla Fontana. The soils here are finely textured red soils thanks to the presence of iron oxides and the vines are head-trained bush vines, grown at a density of 500 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested manually with small baskets and experience maceration for 18 days on 80% of the mass followed by 25 days on 20%, with native yeasts selected in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 24-26 °C and maturation follows in French and Caucasian oak barriques for 12 months.
Deep purple red in colour with a rich and complex bouquet that shows hints of spice, soft fruit and cherry jam. The palate is full-bodied, smooth and balanced with fine tannins, and a pleasantly long finish.
Best served with red meats, game and mature cheeses.
Vacqueyras has always played second fiddle to Chateauneuf but the wines are finally starting to get the credit they deserve and this full bodied, deep and complex red is an excellent expression of this appellation.
Sang des Cailloux means “blood of the stones,” and the galets ridden nature of the soil comes across in the mineral, stony aspect of this wine which is deep and full of energy and with notes of lavender, red and black fruit and olive. It is ready to drink now but will age gracefully for at least ten to fifteen years.
This wine is made from grapes grown on the elevated Plateau des Garrigues, where the vines are planted on a mixture of red clay, limestone and galets roule - or pudding - stones that are famously found in Chateaunuef.
Sang des Cailloux Vacqueryas is a labour of love and tastes like it. It's a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and Cinsault and named after the daughters of Serge Férigoule: Floureto, Doucinello, and Azalaïs.
All grapes are hand harvested and fermented with natural yeasts in cement cuves with daily pumpovers then moved into 450 litre barrels for 12 months' maturation before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
This is a delicious, full bodied dry red from one of the great appellations of the Southern Rhone Valley in France.

Production is with the lightest of hands, in a traditional manner using everything the grapes bring with them without industrial manipulation and additives.
About the wine...
Aromatic notes of rose petals and dried herbs layered upon liquorice, smoke and earth. Fresh and lively with a seductive silky finish. Our wines are produced with oxygen exposure and develop greatly once opened. Decanting the wines will allow them to truly express themselves.
Vineyards
A blend of two idyllic hillside sites in Hawke?s Bay. One from the Subregion of Paki Paki a gentle North facing slopes with shallow limestone soils. A slightly more inland area of Hawke?s Bay with long hot days and an abundance of sunlight. The second from the steep sandstone over limestone slopes of Roy?s Hill situated high above the Gimbeltt Gravels stoney soils. This presence of light and heat combined with the natural slope of the sites and cooling winds allows our Syrah to boast both masculine and delicate floral tones.

Scapa call Skiren the honeyed tropical one because of its smooth, creamy sweetness with a hint of tropical fruit, citrus and coastal heather. It is exclusively matured in first-fill American Oak Casks, selected by Scapa artisans.
Nose: Delicate scented floral flavours with a hint of fresh pear. Sweet and fruity pineapple notes with a citrus tang.
Taste: Smooth and sweet, ripe honeydew melon slices, bursts of fruity pear and lemon sherbet.
Finish: Long, refreshing, shimmering sweetness.

Sourced in Tauranga, the Blood Oranges provide a lovely floral, sweet, and slightly tart finish. Raspberries gathered from the Tasman region provide a natural jam-like sweetness. To round it all off, subtle Kaffir Limes from Gisborne provides a very welcome fragrance, and a sharp lingering finish.
