Whisky
This limited edition release from Johnnie Walker is part of their Blenders' Batch line of whiskies. This whisky is aged in first-fill bourbon and finished in former rye casks for an additional six months. The whisky is comprised from only five distilleries including Dufftown and the now-closed Port Dundas.
This Blender's Edition allows you to discover the smoky side of The Famous Grouse. A rare peated malt is used here to produce a delightfully sweet and smoky whisky.
Nose: Medium, quite smoky. Solid peat note, rummy sweetness, touch of dry wood.
Palate: Medium, balanced. Peat smoke, caramel, spice.
Finish: Long, slightly peaty.
Bottled at cask strength, this is the World?s (as far as we know) only Sloe Gin Barrel finished Single Malt Whisky.
The nose exhibits notes of red berries, vanilla, candied ginger and stewed plums over toffee and malt. The palate is rich and mouth-filling with plum, toffee, dark cocoa and malt. The finish is long and reminiscent of dark cocoa and red berries.
Only 361 bottles from this full barrel. This single malt whisky was initially aged in small, virgin French oak barrels for three years before spending the last twelve months in a barrel previously used for making our award winning Pinot Barrel Sloe Gin.

Unit price perCardrona's oldest single malt whisky release yet, at five and a half years old . They have taken three ex-bourbon casks and combined them and finished them off in an ex-Pedro Xim?nez sherry cask. Cask 767 has officially grown wings!
This has led to one of our must decadently rich whiskies yet, tangy raspberry leaf on the nose laced with treacle. In the mouth, rich luscious cr?me caramel layered with summer berries, candied pear and fresh pouring cream.
At 63.7% ABC we expect these 375ml bottles to fly (pun intended).
Combining a splendid blend of single malt whiskies (it is thought from Glenturret, Highland Park and Macallan), Naked Malt is allowed to mature in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. The name refers to the fact that the casks have never held whisky before, meaning that all that rich, fruity sherry goodness is imparted straight into this tasty blend! Nice and versatile, it's a solid sipper and ideal to have handy when mixing up some cocktails!
Nose: Smooth and oily with notes of cherry compote, buttered granary toast, malt, custard and peach.
Palate: Sherried and thick with notes of sultanas, sticky toffee pudding, raspberry jam, Victoria sponge, custard and cr?me caramel.
Finish: Medium, with notes of cocoa, oak and just a soupcon of smoke on the very tail.

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare releases are a series of limited editions that explore the rich flavours and distinctive distillery characters of selected whiskies from the Johnnie Walker Blue Label reserves.
This limited edition series sees some of their rarest whiskies reawakened. At the heart of this limited edition lies the highly sought-after Islay single malt, Port Ellen - a ?ghost? distillery that shut its doors in 1983.
For Johnnie Walker Master Blender, Dr. Jim Beveridge, the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series is an exciting exploration of flavour. Jim says: ?These whiskies deliver a fascinating glimpse into another world, exploring the unique, inimitable character of whiskies from a small number of iconic, closed distilleries that lend something very special to every drop of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.?
In crafting Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen, Jim blended the highly sought-after ghost whiskies from Port Ellen, Caledonian and Carsebridge, with five incredibly rare malts from Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol and Oban. The result is a whisky with layers of creamy vanilla sweetness and rolling waves of waxy citrus, rich malt and tropical fruit notes - all perfectly balanced by the distinctive maritime smokiness of Port Ellen that lingers in, the long and warming finish.
Named after a famous Englishman, Thomas Parr, who lived during the 15th and 16th centuries. His remains now lie in Westminster Abbey. This particular brand, while now owned by Diageo, was founded in 1909! Awarded as the '2007 World Whisky of the Year', it comes bottled with a funky, brown bottle which oozes character and charm. The bottle is not smooth but is intentionally mottled and wrinkled similar to the skin of a very old man, paying tribute to Thomas Parr, who is the oldest man in the history of England, living for more than 150 years. The taste comes with a firm vanilla tinged with oak and spice begins to rise first, with sawgrass, and green willow following. One with patience will also find flavors of honey and caramel underneath the soft smoke as well.
